A Wedding at the Alderman House.
Paul and Alicia are MARRIED!!!
Their dreamy wedding was held at The Alderman House in Fort Myers, Florida. Due to Hurricane Ian, Paul and Alicia had to change their venue with little notice. The Alderman House definitely did not disappoint! The elegantly detailed architecture along with beautiful landscaping made this venue an absolute dream for a wedding!
I have been dying to hang out with these two again since their Engagement Session back in August! They are the nicest couple and their family and friends are no different. The entire day I felt like I was photographing (and dancing) at my friends wedding!
The whole day was filled with sweet and sentimental moments. After spending the morning hanging out with the girls and photographing Alicia’s gorgeous bridal details, Alicia and her father shared the sweetest first look! He was instantly filled with tears and joy the moment he saw his baby girl. Alicia’s girls also surprised her with a book filled with handwritten letters.
Before the ceremony began, Paul and Alicia met and shared a first touch and exchanged personal vows. This was definitely one of my favorite moments of the day. They could not stop smiling! They both shared so much excitement knowing they were just moments from seeing each other and finally becoming husband and wife!
After their perfect Christ-centered ceremony, we took husband and wife portraits with absolute dreamy golden light, and danced the night away at their reception! Scroll to see some of my favorite moments from Paul and Alicia’s wedding day and a HUGE surprise!!!
SURPRISE!!! Right after sunset portraits, Alicia went in the bridal suite to “bustle her dress” (our code word lol!) and CUT. HER. HAIR!!! Paul loves her hair short but she was growing it out for the wedding. She totally surprised him (and really everyone else!) and chopped her hair before the reception started!! This moment goes down as one of my all time wedding favorites! Also, doesn’t she look incredible!!
One last surprise of the day… while Alicia and her daughter Kami were dancing to their mother/daughter song, Alicia realized it was her mother and sister who was singing the song! This precious moment became even sweeter!
Alicia’s sister, Emmi and the best man Caleb gave the absolute best speeches. They had the perfect balance of sweet words and just being down right hilarious! I have never seen a group laugh so hard during speeches!!
Congratulations Paul & Alicia!! Y’all are truly the best and we love you both!!
